20-Year-Old Keanu Reeves Muses On Life In His 40s | Watch Here

20-year-old Keanu Reeves shared his feelings in a recently unearthed interview on what it was like, starring as a lead in Disney’s 1986 film, titled Young Again. Keanu’s vintage chat that seems to be based in Toronto, based on the clip that was recently shared by Twitter user @RealEOC with the caption, “20-year-old Keanu Reeves.”

In the above video, the actor reflects on what it is like playing the role of Michael Riley, Robert Urich, who wishes to be 17 again, although he has just turned 40 years old. Michael wishes to be young again and is magically back in the body of a teen, portrayed by Keanu Reeves. As the 17-year-old Michael reenters high school life and finds his lost love, he realizes that the life he is chasing can only be gained in his middle-aged body and mindset.

“It’s hard,” Keanu says. “The thing is, I’m playing a 17-year-old body with a 40-year-old mind, ok. But then I had to play with my conception of 40, which is sort of older. You’re looking at 40, and you’re like, you’re old, but he’s not.” Reeves adds, “I’m basically confused,” laughing a full, genuine smile.

1986’s Young Again was a made for television movie and a part of Disney’s The Disney Sunday Movie programming that ran from 1986 through 1988. Later, the initiative would be renamed, The Magical World of Disney, from 1988-1990, and then, The Wonderful World of Disney, which ran from 1990-present day.

All initiatives aimed to bring original Disney programming to primetime network for families to watch together on a Sunday night. The program originated in 1954 as part of Disney’s anthology series, which was then called, The Wonderful World of Disney. Although this agreement and broadcasting schedule no longer technically exists, Disney did decide to bring back The Wonderful World of Disney’s banner in May for its Disney+ exclusive programming.

Actor Keanu Reeves can next be seen in two upcoming franchises, John Wick: Chapter 4 and the upcoming Matrix 4. John Wick: Chapter 4 stars Keanu Reeves and it was directed by Chad Stahelski. The film arrives in theaters on May 21, 2021.
