The production of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is coming to an end. ABC announced on Thursday that the drama will end with its upcoming seventh season.
Jeph Loed, the executive producer and Marvel’s head of television was now all-happy about the season coming to an end. The said that it will a bittersweet experience for him to say saying goodbye to Marvel Television’s flagship series.
Loeb humbly said that he is greatly indebted to the fans of the series which chronicled the plight of the intrepid spies and associates who work with and among superheroes.
He further said that he will give a great ending to the incredible saga after seven amazing seasons and 136 hours of quality television.
Is ‘Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ worth the hype?
“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 1 premiered in 2013. The series received immense support and gathered a huge fan base in a very short amount of time. The series primarily revolves around Clark Gregg’s Agent Phil Coulson, a character who had already become known to viewers of movies like “Iron Man” and “The Avengers.”
Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Elizabeth Henstridge, Iain De Caestecker, Henry Simmons, Natalia Cordova-Buckley, and Jeff Ward also starred in the series.
“S.H.E.I.L.D” is the oldest and longest-running series of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. It also marked the first of a new wave of series based on comic book properties to infiltrate the TV landscape that also includes AMC’s “The Walking Dead” and The CW’s “Arrow.”
This trend was followed by many other releases. Marvel’s comic-based “Daredevil” and “Jessica Jones” were initially released on Netflix. They are now available on Disney, which owns both ABC and Marvel.
The final is currently ongoing and has proved to be a gem in this time of Pandemic. The final episode of the seventh season will mark the end of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”.
