Agents of SHIELD: Joel Stoffer assures fans about a satisfactory finale

Agents of SHIELD season 7 has almost reached to its finale episode. What Enoch (Joel Stoffer) has told to Daisy (Chloe Bennet) and Coulson (Clark Gregg) in the brand new episode of Agents of SHIELD has kind of hinted on how the series is about to end.

In Agents of SHIELD season 7, episode 9, “As I Have Always Been,” the whole crew was trapped in a time loop due to a malfunction in the time drive system. This led them to relive the same moment again and again. Daisy and Coulson are the only two who can remember each chance to get things back to normal.

With the removal of Simmons’ memory implant, the duo has learned that the only way of fixing this repetitive timeline is by using a component present in Enoch’s body. For this to happen, Enoch has to be ready to make the big sacrifice. While the two were discussing over this, viewers got to see Enoch ripping out his heart and giving it to the team, wanting to help them. Following this, the series followed an emotional death scene of Enoch in front of Daisy and Coulson.

In his last moments, Enoch reveals that he has seen the future and that Daisy and Coulson will make it successfully till the end…however, the team would not!

He further says that this was “their last mission together.” This serves as a hint for what’s in store for the end of the Agents of SHIELD season finale. It interestingly gives an insight into how the journey can end for the team.

While the question still remains unanswered on whether they will be victorious against the Chronicoms or not, it’s obvious that the team is going to fall out once all of this comes to an end.

This shocking revelation worries Daisy, and she expresses her love for the team by addressing them as her “family.”

Commenting on series finale, Stoffer told Digital Spy, “I mean, they don’t want to share too much, so there’s not much that I can share, but I think there’s a great payoff from what I understand at the end, for sure.”

Stoffer also talked on the possibility of a spin-off series focusing solely on the life of Enoch, back when he was a bartender after the group drifted apart due to a time-traveling mission earlier in 1931.

He said, “That would be so much fun, especially if they get to include Patton [Oswalt], I’m not holding my breath on that, but it’s a Marvel, so you never know. You never know what might come.”

Season 7 will mark the end of the MCU’s Agents of SHIELD series.
