Daniel Sousa and Daisy Johnson shared a quiet moment before the final battle in a sneak peek from the epic series finale of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The beginning of the final season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. brought back the fan-favorite Agent Carter character, Daniel Sousa, as the main cast traveled back to the early days in the 1950s of the intelligence agency. Rescuing Sousa from the historical death in the decade, the character was plucked from time to aid the team against the time-traveling Chronicoms.

Now, A.B.C. has released a sneak peek at the series finale of this week, with Mack, Daisy Johnson, and Sousa developing their future plan of attack against the Chronicoms and their villainous allies. However, as Daisy sets out to rescue Deke Shaw and Simmons from Kora, her evil half-sister, Sousa surprised her with a parting kiss, which she warmly returns.
What does the sneak peek revealed?
The team faked Sousa’s death over the course of Season 7, as they rescued him from Hydra, with one of the original agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. joining them. As the team traveled closer to the relative present of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Daisy and Sousa grew closer, as well.
Meanwhile, the villains from across the 20th century have been recruited by Chronicoms, which unleashed its whole armada against Earth, with only Mack’s team standing in their way to the total domination.
The final season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on A.B.C.
