Osamu Akimoto‘s Kochikame manga will get a 201st compiled quantity. The Kochikame manga ended in September 2016 after 40 years of serialization. Now Akimoto has published several further chapters to it.
The new quantity will compile the varied one-shot chapters. It is Weekly Shonen Jump‘s longest-running manga sequence.

Kochikame is a Japanese comedy manga series. Osamu Akimoto is the writer and the illustrator of the manga series. The story of the manga is set in recent times in the present day, in and around a neighborhood police station. The police station is in the downtown part of Tokyo. The station comprises of mainly four officers among which the main character is middle-aged cop Kankichi Ryotsu.
The manga got published by Shueisha. The imprints were from Jump Comics. The manga was published in the Weekly Shōnen Jump Magazine. The original run was from September 21, 1976 – September 17, 2016. Till that time, the total number of the volume was 200.
