All New Knights OF Sidonia Film 2021: Details Here!

Polygon Pictures, on Friday, confirmed the production of a new anime film in the Knights of Sidonia manga. Created by Tsutomu Nihei, a Japanese manga artist, this film will release in 2021. Sidonia no Kishi: Ai Tsumugu Hoshi is the title of the film which means Knights of Sidonia: The Star Where Love is Spun.

J-pop band CAPSULE will perform all the theme and insert songs Knights OF Sidonia Film 2021. The teaser video features the song “Utsunemi”, written and composed by music producer Yasutaka Nakata.

Who Will Team Up For The Film?

Tsutomu Nihei himself will be supervising the new movie which will showcase an entirely new storyline but with the same old all-favorite cast.

Knights of Sidonia anime’s co-director Hiroyuki Seshita will presume the role of chief director for the film. Tadahiro Yoshihira, who happens to be the previous editor of the anime franchise, will be joining Hiroyuki Seshita in directing the film. Sadayuki Murai and Tetsuya Yamada are the scriptwriters for the film.

The film is well-known for its soundtrack and music, and this time, the J-pop band CAPSULE will be performing the theme soundtrack and all the insert songs for the 2021 film.
King Record will handle the music production and Clockwork will carry out the film’s distribution.

Knights of Sidonia Movie 2021: Release Date!

Nihei teased about the possibility of the third season of the anime back in 2016. Nihei said, “I’m also waiting for Sidonia 3! But I’m not the one who is making it or getting funding for it. So it’s up to this guy” and pointed at Seshita.

To which Seshita replied that he won’t be doing it right away but will get to it once he has completed his ongoing projects. He also urged the fans of Knights of Sidonia to extend their love and support for Blame!, which in turn will motivate him to go for Season 3 as soon as he could.

The first season of Knights of Sidonia featuring 12-episodes released in Japan in April 2014. The second season premiered next year in April 2015. Both seasons were available on Netflix after they premiered in Japan.

Sentai Filmworks, in June 2015, premiered the first season on Blu-ray Disc and DVD. The second season launched in Blu-ray Disc and DVD in November 2016.
