The ABC sitcom, American Housewife, will have to take some new family photographs for the next season. It is recasting the youngest daughter Anna-Kat, with Giselle Eisenberg, The Life in Pieces alum, replacing Julia Butters in the upcoming fifth season of the series. Anna-Kat Otto is the youngest of all the three children of Katie and Greg, and Julia Butters has been playing the role of Anna-Kat Otto since the show premiered in the year 2016. A breakout role as child actress Trudi Fraser in the Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, opened new doors for Julia.
The producers of ABC Signature granted her request to exit the series as Tarantino first spotted Julia on American Housewife before casting her for the show. Giselle Eisenberg has played the role of sassy daughter, Sophia Hughes, on the CBS family comedy, Life in Pieces. The family comedy ended last year after completing four seasons. Other TV credits of the actress include “Believe”, Bone, and Law & Order Specials Victims Unit.
American Housewife Re-Casting Details
The series returned for the fifth season on October 28, Wednesday on ABC. While the rest of the Wednesday night comedy block of the Alphabet Network, The Goldbergs, The Conners, and Black-ish, all have returned the previous week with new episodes. The scripted series, Grey’s Anatomy, is getting pushed back and the unscripted fare is filling the void. It included the return of The Bachelorette and Dancing With The Stars and the debut hosted by SNL’s Leslie Jones of a new Supermarket Sweep Reboot.

She also co-starred in Dan Fogelman’s Danny Collins opposite to Al Pacino. Additionally, her feature film credits include a lead role in the indie The Enormity of Life and her supporting roles in Sex Tape and A Most Violent Year.
In TV, Eisenberg has also starred in the Hallmark Channel Original Movie, “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” opposite Mena Suvari and James Brolin and recurred on the “Starz series Flesh & Bone.” Paradigm reps her.
