Amitabh Bachchan, Son Abhishek Tests Coronavirus Positive

Amitabh Bachchan, the Bollywood mogul and son Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday. Father and son duo are hospitalized in Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital. Amitabh complained about breathing problems following which he was tested and admitted. The Bollywood magnate revealed this news through twitter.

Abhishek Bachchan further told that both of them have mild symptoms and have been admitted to hospital. Meanwhile, all their family members and staff are being tested. He further requested all the fans to stay calm and not panic.

Amitabh posted a photo of himself on Instagram from the hospital. He asked everyone who has come in touch with him to get tested.


Before being admitted to the Nanavati hospital on Saturday, Doctors confirmed that Amitabh Bachchan was symptomatic and was self-isolating at home.

How Did This Happen?

Apparently, Amitabh had not gone out since the lockdown began from March 25, but he recently shot promotional content for the quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ and other projects at his home and hence had contact with the production crew who came to his house.
