Avengers Hints A Huge Marvel Event For the year 2021

A black raven perched on the shoulder of former X-Men Villain, which is now an ally, Apocalypse, the Hulk, attempting to stomp one of his massive green feet on a slithering snake, and a space shark is drifting away from either a metallic planet or a large spaceport. A note from the editor states, “Look closely, the road to Marvel comics 2021 starts here.”

If you did not have a look at the teaser, which has been recently released by Marvel yet, then you can have a look at it here.

The Avengers has recently concluded the “Age of Khonshu” story arc, which saw Moon Knight align himself with Khonshu after Mephisto was killed by the moon god, stole the powers of Avengers, and reshaped the world in the image of Khonshu.

Of course, it is extremely hard to kill the devil, and Mephisto has been plotting a lot in the background for much of Jason Aaron’s run on the mightiest heroes of Earth. Whatever big event Marvel has in store for the year 2021, the breadcrumbs and clues can be found in these four panels and can more than likely be tied back to Mephisto.

The next Avengers story arc begins in “Enter the Phoenix,” as the Phoenix Force returns to Earth in search of a new host. The heroes and villains from across the Marvel Universe will be fighting for the right to be the new host of Phoenix, as covers for December’s Avengers #40 feature Phoenix-powered versions of Black Panther, Wolverine, Captain America, Namor, and She-Hulk.
