Baki-Dou Manga Is Finally Back! Details Here.

Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shōnen Champion 31st magazine issue declared that Keisuke Itagaki’s Baki-Dou manga is going to be back very soon. They revealed that the famous manga will take a two-issue hiatus. Furthermore, they said that the manga will be back on July 16.

The Storyline of Baki-Duo Manga

A whole new different and unique character for “Baki” will be there in the renewed Baki-Dou manga. But, it will have the same name as old which is “Baki-Dou”. Japan’s oldest and strongest “sumo god” will be the villain in this new manga. Baki will face this ruthless villain with all his might. But will he be able to defeat him? Additionally, the manga will also feature the Japanese legendary sumo wrestler Nomi no Sukune. The wrestler supposedly first fought against Taima no Kehaya in 23 B.C.

The manga premiered in Weekly Shōnen Champion in October 2018. Akita Shoten will publish the manga newest volume on Wednesday. The new volume will be manga’s sixth compiled book.

Baki-Dou Manga: History

The original manga “Baki The Grappler” was an amazing martial arts manga and it ran for 42 volumes. Itagaki created this manga which featured in Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine from 1991 to 1999. Manga sold more than 63 million copies worldwide and gained a huge fan following. Media Do translated and published the manga in English.

After Baki the Grappler, Itagaki also made Hanma Baki. This was a 37-volume manga and featured in Weekly Shōnen Champion from 2005 to 2012. The first Baki-Dou manga, the overall fourth manga in the franchise, launched in Weekly Shōnen Champion in March 2014 and ended in April 2018 with 22 volumes.
