Black-ish Season 7 has reportedly received a backorder for six additional episodes at ABC. The order clearly means that the comedy series that has been acclaimed critically will be having a full seventh season consisting of a total of 21 episodes, despite the fact that its launch was delayed a bit by the production shutdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
The seventh season of the series made its debut on ABC on October 21, and prior to that, the show had aired a two-part animated special about the 2020 election on October 4. It remains one of the top comedies of ABC even later in its run. Also, it was announced back in the month of September that the network was developing a spinoff titled, Old-ish, which would see Jenifer Lewis and Laurence Fishburne reprising their roles as Ruby Johnson and Earl Pops Johnson.

Freeform currently airs the spinoff series, Grown-ish, which focuses on Zoey, Yara Shahidi’s character, as she goes to the college.
The creator of this series is Kenya Barris and the show has been executively produced by Barrus, Laura Gutin Peterson, Courtney Lilly, Fishburne, Anthony Anderson, Helen Sugland, Michael Petok, and E. Brian Dobbins. Also, we would like to tell you that the Black-ish series which airs on ABC has been produced by ABC Signature.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the production of the broadcast shows, web series, and movies went to a halt, and this series was also included in the list of the series whose production was shut down. However, slowly but surely things are changing, broadcast shows have been finding their way back to the airwaves as the productions adapt to filming under the COVID-19 restrictions.
While some of the broadcasts have managed to temporarily fill the gaps in their schedule with repeats, unscripted fare, and acquired programming, more and more they have been able to set launch dates for the shows that are returning.
Most of the shows are all set to make their debut going into the month of November, while others are being held for the next year. For more updates, make sure to visit this website regularly.
