“Fabulous lives of Bollywood Lives” cast describes the shoot of this new Netflix Reality show.
Netflix surprised all the Bollywood fans with a reality show that showcases the lives of famous Bollywood actors’ wives. The show stars Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari, Seema Khan, and Bhavana Pandey in the lead. The show reveals these “page 3” stars’ daily lives, their lavish lifestyle, their luxurious mansions, basically how these “Richie-rich” people spend their time. The show was announced on November 13th, and it is set to release on November 27th. The list of stars who appear in the show is endless, including the “King of bollywood” Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, and the newest entry to the show-biz Ananya Pandey. The show is a homegrown blend of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and Sex and the City.

Who are these ladies?
Maheep is the wife of actor and film producer Sanjay Kapoor. They have two kids, namely Shanaya and Jahaan. Not to forget that Maheep is an aunt to some big names in the industry, well the Kapoor family members; Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Arjun Kapoor, Jahnvi Kapoor, Mohit Marwah, Harshvardhan Kapoor, and Rhea Kapoor.
All the 90’s kids are quite familiar with Neelam. She is a very well known actor with some gems like “Hatya” and “Farz ki Jung.” One cannot forget a little but a very evident cameo in “Kuch Kuch hota hai” as “The Neelam’s Show.” She is also an entrepreneur and heads her own fair jewelry business. His husband, Samir Soni, is an actor, writer, and director.
Seema is the wife of actor Sohail Khan. She is a fashion designer and stylist by profession. The couple opted for surrogacy to have his younger son Yohan Khan. Sohail and Seema decided to have their second baby ten years after their first son, Nirvaan.
Bhavana is the wife of Chunky Pandey and mother of Ananya and Rysa Pandey. Before getting married to “Aakhree Pasta” (one of the most famous characters Chunky played on screen). She further delved into the restaurant business.
Bollywood cameos, you say?!
Multiple star cameos are conveniently slipped into the mix to further the runtime of each episode. Maheep visits nephew Arjun Kapoor for advice on dealing with trolls spends Valentine’s Day with niece Jahnvi Kapoor; Seema wobbles through a yoga class (in make-up?!) with Malaika Arora and the four walk the red carpet to Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan’s party. Executive producer Karan Johar is the devil’s advocate/ agony aunt, staging conversations that have the potential to escalate into heated arguments, but alas, never do.
Bollywood’s “Karta-Dharta”? KJo’s words
The brazen display of wealth, the classism, the ladies oblivion to their privilege, and their inflexible views on nepotism in Bollywood could blight the overall watching experience. But regardless of its issues, like KJo said, you can love the fabulous wives, troll them, but you sure as hell cannot ignore them.
