MTV and Nick Cannon to bond back?
The heat seems to cool down a bit between Nick Cannon and MTV. The feud began when ViacomCBS network severed ties with the man himself and a producer. It was earlier this year amid an anti-Semitic flap. The system is considering a review of the option about “Wild’ N Out” series.
What the network has to say about Cannon and “Wild ‘N Out”?
“We continue to follow Nick’s journey, and I’m impressed by how he’s owned his mistakes,” said ViacomCBS’ Entertainment and Youth Group Chris McCarthy. “He’s been an extended part of our family for almost 20 years and a personal friend of mine for almost half that. He’s leading by example, apologized, and trying to learn to understand and help others do the same. That’s the kind of partner we want to work with.” However, McCarthy did not comment if “Wild ‘N Out” will be back on the screens in the near feature or not.
Cannon, the force behind the art!!
Cannon hosts and produces Fox’s wildly popular secret celebrity singing competition, “The Masked Singer.” The chaos began after the star interviewed ousted Public Enemy member Professor Griff on his podcast “Cannons’s Class.” His comments like “the true Hebrews” turned all the fumes into a brawl. The network did not wait a bit to break the decades-long ties with the comedian. He has been the creative force behind one of the longest-running sketch comedy series in television history.
How did it solve?
The associate dean and director of Global Social Action Agenda for the Simon Wiesenthal Center, Rabbi Cooper, stepped up to the occasion and advised the 40-year-old to apologize. The father of three followed the word and took a break from the radio program. The talk-show daytime shifted to a new time, and there were no legal actions further from any of the parties.
The comic’s producing associate and supervisor, Michael Goldman, also roped in. “He believed within the present and noticed it engaged on MTV2,” Goldman says. “Chris actually has a capability to perceive youth tradition and how viewing habits are so completely different today. He noticed ‘Wild’ N Out’ and noticed the potential for these brief clips to turn out to be viral content material.” Further, he added, “Chris is aware of who Nick is as an individual, I believe him to get us there.”
