Chadwick Boseman died on Friday 28, 2020. The actor is widely known for his ‘Black Panther’ character’s portrayal in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor passed away at his Los Angeles home with his wife and family by his side. All the details are given below.

Chadwick Boseman: The Epitome of Actor

The actor diagnosed with colon cancer four years ago. His family said that he was a true hero and he persevered through it all. He had brought us many of our favorite films.

The actor filmed many of his films during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, and several more, he was suffering through all. He is the one who brought King T’Challa to life in Black Panther.

His death comes when the nation is reckoning racial injustice and on Major League Baseball’s Jackie Robinson Day. On this day, every big league’s players’ wear the Brooklyn Dodger great’s uniform number one day a season. Chadwick portrayed Robinson in his biopic named ‘42’ directed by Brian Helgeland.

Along with Robinson, he also had portrayed soul icon James Brown in Get On Up (2014). Additionally, he played Supreme Court justice, Thurgood Marshall, in Marshall (2017), directed by Reginald Hudlin.

The Actor’s Last Movie

The actor’s last movie was ‘Da 5 Bloods’. Spike Lee directed the film and was released this June. He portrayed “Stormin’” Norman Earl Holloway, a U.S. freedom fighter in the Vietnam War.

Boseman’s biggest cultural impact came with his turn as Black Panther/T’Challa. He was the proud king and protector of the fictional African nation of Wakanda.

The Disney Marvel’s film became a cultural touchstone with its full Black-led cast.

The film bagged a box-office collection of $1.34 billion globally. The majority of these earnings came internationally. It destroyed the Hollywood stigma that Black-led films could not perform well overseas.
