Tracy Spiridakos seemed to be a worthy addition and a great pickup to the Chicago P.D. team when it was first announced that she would join the NBC hit series in the 2017-18 season. However, her casting came with questions like whether her character, Hailey Upton, will be serving as a replacement for the character which is departing, Erin Lindsay (played by Sophia Bush)? And if it is so, then would she eventually become a love interest for Jesse Lee Soffer played character, Jay Halstead?
If the showrunners are planning to move forward in a different direction, then what would Hailey Upton do? Will she be getting lost in the shuffle? Being a big show, many actors have come and gone, but none was able to put a mark on the legacy of the show.

While critics were pondering upon the possible storylines and the fans were excited, it will be hard to imagine anyone foreseeing Hailey Upton. As she was not in the two full seasons, and now at the centre of the most interesting arc of the Chicago P.D.

Rick Eid, the producer of the show, along with his team, didn’t pair the straight-shooting Hailey Upton with Jay, the military man, but rather with Adam Ruzek(played by Patrick John Flueger), the loosey-goosey. Spiridakos, in terms of presence, has managed to make herself known. For those who have watched the Winnipeg native lead the science-fiction series, Revolution, are not surprised to know that she has no trouble in holding herself in a large cast. The actor wonderfully portrayed a reluctant hero in a post-tech-apocalypse world, Charlie. It was a role that required large doses of morality, humanity, and physicality.
