Classroom Of The Elite is a Japanese light novel series written by Shōgo Kinugasa and illustrated by Shunsaku Tomose. The series is known for its unique storyline. It has taken the definition of a school to a whole new level, where students are not just tested based on theory or written exams, but something way beyond all of it. And, at the same time, it introduces us to some unforgettable characters.
The first season of the anime premiered in July 2017. And, ran for a total of 12 episodes before ending in September. As soon as the first season concluded, all the fans were expecting an immediate second season. As, without the second season, we will never learn who really is Ayanokouji and what’s going on with him. Also, see if any of his classmates like Horikita will manage to rise all the way to Class A.
But, unfortunately, the second season didn’t get officially announced yet. So, let’s talk about the possibilities of Season 2. Also, make sure to check out the official streaming platform for the anime.
Classroom Of The Elite Season 2
The first season of Classroom of The Elite did its job in terms of boosting the source material. Sadly, in terms of selling anything else, it failed to do a good job considering the low number of merchandise and figures for this series. That’s why the possibilities of a second season are low. But, not zero 😉
As there is still hope left the production committee will decide to continue or reboot this series. This series has the potential to take the place of Oregairu. It’s possible that with a better adaptation, this series could rival Oregairu in popularity.
Maybe, we will see in the next 1 to 2 years if there are any plans to continue this franchise in anime format.
Classroom Of The Elite Plot
In the distant future, the Japanese government has established the Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing School, dedicated to instruct and foster the generation of people that will support the country in the future. The students are given a high degree of freedom in order to closely mimic real life.
The story follows the perspective of Kiyotaka Ayanokōji, a quiet and unassuming boy who is not good at making friends and would rather keep his distance. He is a student of D-class, which is where the school dumps its inferior students. After meeting Suzune Horikita and Kikyō Kushida, two other students in his class, Kiyotaka’s situation begins to change.
