The 64 years old comedian David Adkins, better known by his stage name Sinbad, has recently suffered a stroke and is now recovering. According to a report, his family has released a statement that said it is out of sincere love that they share Sinbad, their beloved husband and father, is recovering from a recent stroke.
In addition to this, they said that they are faithful and optimistic that he will bring laughter into our hearts soon. Their family thanks everyone in advance for their love and support and ask for continued prayers for his healing.
Sindbad played the role of Dad most recently on Lil Rel Howery‘s Fox sitcom, Rel, which ran from the year 2018 to 2019. He rose to fame with several HBO comedy special series in the early 1990s.
He also starred in The Sinbad Show on Fox from the year 1993 to 1994 and played the role of Coach Walter Oakes on a spin-off of The Cosby Show, A Different World. The show ran from the year 1987 to 1993 on NBC for six seasons. It also starred Marisa Tomei, Jada Pinkett Smith, Lisa Bonet, Jasmine Guy, and Dawn Lewis throughout its run.
Comedian Sinbad Coping With Stroke And Undergoing Recovery
The comedian has also made an appearance on the shows like The Eric Andre Show, The Comedy Bang Bang, and he also gave his voice to the characters on Disney’s American Dad, Steven Universe, and The Lion Guard.
Shortly after the news of Sinbad recovering from the stroke was shared by his family, wind took to social media to wish the comedian well. They wrote on Twitter that their love, prayers, and positive thoughts; they are all sending them to their brother Sinbad and his family, and trust that he will make a full recovery.
Brook Pierce, who starred in the film First Kid of the year 1996 alongside Sinbad, also shared a statement of support. He said that he prays for his speedy recovery; he is a role model who has maintained an image of good family values and wholesomeness throughout his career.
