The upcoming animated movie, Connected, which has been produced by Chris Miller and Phil Lord, with a release date of October has been delayed for an indefinite period of time by Sony. The very talented writer and director duo are well known for many comedic works, but animation is a field which is their area of expertise. They have written as well as directed The LEGO Movie and Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs, and booth of them were successful. They also produced the spin-offs and sequels of both of the movies. Most recently, the animation experience of Miller and Lord had them become greatly involved with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
The duo of has numerous projects in the works that they will be directing, but the next movie that Miller and Lord names will be on is Connected. They are producing the film, and the film is being directed by Jeff Rowe and Michael Rianda. It follows Mitchell and her family as a tech uprising happens during a road trip to take Katie to the college. Sony released the trailer for Connected at the beginning of the year 2020, at that time, the movie was slated to be released in the month of October. However, that is no longer going to be the case.
Connected Movie Postponed Indefinitely
According to some reports, Connected has been delayed for an indefinite period of time by Sony. It previously had a release date of October, but as of now, there is no immediate time frame for when the movie is going to be released. Also, there is no update regarding when Sony will be announcing the new date of release of the film. As an outcome of this change, 20tyh Century and Disney’s Death on the Nile is the only wide release that is slated to be released in the theatres.
The reason for the delay of Connected is likely due to the current state of the theatres and the business of the movie. For the last few weeks, cinemas have been open, but the box office has proven to be disappointing for most of the films. Tenet has managed to receive a bulk of attention and the decision of the Warner Bros. to not reveal the daily box office figures is an extended indictment on how the movie is performing.
