Connecting: NBC Cancels The Show; Peacock To Air Remaining Episodes

NBC has recently announced that they will not be moving forward with Connecting, and yes, they have pulled the plug on this group of friends. The peacock network has essentially and recently canceled the television show named, Connecting, so there will not be any further seasons of the show. We do understand that it is really a piece of bad news for the people who were waiting for the second season of their favorite show.

The Connecting is a comedy series in the age of social distancing, stars Jill Knox, Keith Powell, Otmara Marrero, Preacher Lawson, Shakina Nayfack, Ely Henry, and Parvesh Cheena. It is an ensemble sitcom about a group of friends. Like all of us, they are trying to stay close, safe, and sane through video chats and calls.

They share the highs and lows of the lockdown that has been implemented to maintain the rules of social distancing and these extraordinary times. The friends are Rufus (Henry), Annie (Marrero), Pradeep (Cheena), Michelle (Knox), Garrett (Powell), Ben (Lawson), and Ellis (Nayfack).

We would also like to tell you that the show is shot remotely, and the sitcom is co-created and co-executively produced by Brendan Gall and Martin Gero. The first season of the comedy series is averaging a 0.33 rating in the age demographics ranging from 18-49 and just 1.51 million viewers.

It is the lowest-rated scripted series of the season of NBC. So far, the network has aired four of the eight episodes of the comedy. The remaining episodes of the first and the only season will be released via the official website of NBC, nbc.com, and the streaming service of Peacock. 

Also, according to the reports that have been recently released, we would like to inform you that Superstore returns will be taking over the Thursdays at 8:30 PM timeslot for the immediate future.
