Sad news for Danny Hicks fans. ‘Evil Dead II’ actor passed away at the age of 68 just four weeks after disclosing that he had fourth stage cancer.

He also made appearances in Spider-Man 2, Darkman, Wishmaster, Koreatown, as well as Bruce Campbell’s directorial debut My Name is Bruce. His last credited role is the 2019 film The Blood Hunter.
“I have been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer,” Hicks shared on Facebook on June 5. “I have approximately 1 to 3 years to live. But I gotta tell ya, I sure as hell packed a whole bunch of living into my 68 years.”
The manager of Full Empire Promotions, Dominic Mancini previously gave an update on Hicks’ condition. “I wanted to bring everyone an update on our dear Danny Hicks. Sadly, it is not a good update,” he said.
“I last spoke with Danny on June 16th. He sounded very weak and exhausted. He said he was not sleeping or eating due to being in so much pain. I could not keep him on the phone for longer than 3 to 4 minutes.”
Hicks’ convention management team, Full Empire Productions, declared on Facebook, writing, “Danny passed away at his home in CA. We love you, Danny, rest easy my friend.”
Several friends and colleagues of hick expressed their sympathy, including Ted Raimi. “See you on the other side of the screen, Danny,” Raimi tweeted.
Danny Hicks has left a permanent void in the industry and our hearts to. Our deep condolences to his friends and family members at this hour of grief. We hope that wherever he is, he finds peace and happiness.
