Due to the ongoing pandemic, West End theatre production is not working, of which the reunited pair is a part. According to reports, BBC director of content Charlotte Moore said: “It’s so important that the BBC provides moments of humor and light relief and this mischievous idea shows what great sports Michael and David are.”
The series will feature:
- David Tennant
- Michael Sheen
- Lucy Eaton along with Tennant and Sheen’s real-life partners
- Georgia Tennant
- Swedish actress Anna Lundberg
Guest stars may also appear on the show.
In the midst of lockdown due to coronavirus, the Staged production team is following all the proper guidelines and is ensuring that all the shoots should get completed by self-shooting or through video conferencing technology.
They are taking care of the safety of every cast member and ensuring that the series will get complete safely and reach the audience safely as well.
The series is based on an original idea by Simon Evans and Phin Glynn. Staged is written and directed by Evans and is produced by Phin Glynn, Victor Glynn, and Georgia Tennant.
David Tennant and Michael Sheen, the reunited team, are also the executive producers of the show. After the release of the series, it will be available as a box set on BBC iPlayer.
