Doraemon Anime Film: Special Video Released Before August 7 Premiere

The kid special cartoon series Doraemon is all set to return with the sequel to its 2006 film “Doraemon: Nobita’s Dinosaur” on the big screen. The official site for the upcoming Doraemon 2020 film “Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Shin Kyoryū” (translated as “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s New Dinosaur”) has revealed a brand new exclusive video. Released on Tuesday, the video includes a new visual from the movie. The makers also thank the fans for waiting for the film’s release.

The film was set to release in March but was postponed due to the Covid19 outbreak. Now the makers are ready to release the movie officially on the 7th of August in Japan.

This special video will also run on our television sets this Saturday during the telecast of the Doraemon show. The tagline on the poster reads, “Well, it’s time for departure.”

Storyline of Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Shin Kyoryū: 

Gil (Takuya Kimura) is a suspicious man with the looks of a monkey. Gil will be vigilant of Nobita’s actions and knows the secret of the mysterious island. Joining Gil will be Natalie (Naomi Watanabe), who will communicate with him about Nobita.

The movie revolves around the central character Nobita who meets twin dinosaurs Kyu and Myu. The story of the film will be completely different from its 2006 film.

“Doraemon: Nobita’s New Dinosaur” is the franchise’s 40th movie and also marks the 50th anniversary of the original manga.

The film will also feature two theme songs,Birthday” and “Kimi to Kasaneta Monologue” by Mr. Children. This is the first time that this franchise film will include two theme songs.

The film’s screenplay is written by Genki Kawamura and it is directed by Kazuaki Imai.

The film is the first Reiwa-era Doraemon movie.
