Eddie Hassell From ‘The Kids Are Alright’ Shot Dead

Actor Eddie Hassell, who is best known for his role in The Kids Are All Right, the film which was released in the year 2010 and was also nominated for Oscar is dead. He was also known for his role in Surface, an NBC TV show. The manager of the actor has recently revealed that Eddi Hassell was shot dead in Texas. He was just 30 years old.

According to the representative of the actor, Eddie was shot on the morning of Sunday, in what appears to be a carjacking. However, the incident is still being investigated by the Police Department of Texas. However, it has not been made clear as of now where the incident of the actor being shot dead took place in Texas.

He was born on July 16, 1990, in Corsicana, Texas, and he held several small roles throughout the 2000s and 2010s. Most notably he held the role of Clay in The Kids Are All Right film of the year 2010. The movie was also starring Mark Ruffalo and Julianne Moore.

Eddie Hassell From ‘The Kids Are Alright’ Shot Dead

The Kids Are All Right movie earned a best picture nod at the 2011 Oscars. He also played the role of Phil Nance on the sci-fi series of NBC, Surface, acting alongside Lake Bell, and Leighton Meester.

He has also made his appearance on T.V. shows such as Aaron Sorkin’s Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Oliver Beene, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Bones, Til Death, Southland, Longmire, and Devious Maids.

Besides The Kids Are All Right movie, Eddi Hassell held roles in the movies like 2012, which was released in the year 2012, The Family Tree, the 2013 Steve Jobs biopic, Jobs, House of Dust, Warrior Road, Family Weekend with Kristin Chenoweth, and Joey King, and Bomb City. 

Bomb City movie of the year 2017 won the audience award that year for the best narrative feature at the Dallas International Film Festival. His most recent credit is as a waiter in the movie, Oh Lucy, of the year 2017.

Hassell was an avid surfer and skateboarder beyond acting. In an interview with Elle, Hassell said that skateboarding had been a huge part of his life, it also got him cast in commercials. He was into horseback riding and rodeos in Texas, and when he moved to L.A., he got into skating. He did all my own stunts, and he is into anything with a board: surfing, wakeboarding.
