The latest series from the creator of Sex and the City, Darren Star, follows the adventures of Emily Cooper, a relentlessly chipper Midwestern marketing executive, as she adjusts to her life in Paris. Given the travel restrictions induced by the coronavirus, watching the series, Emily in Paris, is as close to traveling as many Americans will be getting this autumn. There is so much left of Paris, and the lives of the characters to explore. According to Star, Emily of the next season is going to be less prone to the cultural shock. Essentially, she will be going from being Emily in Paris to being Emily of Paris.
Star tells OprahMag.com the second season, and she is going to be more of a part of the fabric of the world she is living in. She is going to be more of a resident of the city. She will be having her feet on the ground a little more as she is making a life there. The answer of Star is a sign that Emily and her next-door-neighbor, chef Gabriel, will be upgrading their flirtationship to something that is more serious in the second season. Also, the time will tell what the recent ex-girlfriend of Gabriel, Camille, will be thinking of this new progression.
Emily in Paris Renewal Status
The members of the cast and the creators of Emily in Paris are dreaming ahead. However, the series has not been officially renewed by the online streaming service providing platform, Netflix. Perhaps, because it is not the decision of the streaming service, technically, it is not a Netflix Original. The series was produced by ViacomCBS‘s MTV, and it was originally meant to be aired on the Paramount Network. In in the month of July of this year, the series was moved to Netflix, and MTV Studios remains the producer of the show.

There were no major departures in the first season, so we can expect the same cast members to make a return.
