Emmy Awards 2020: Official Nominations Out

The 72nd Emmy Awards will honor the best in U.S prime time television programming as chosen by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The show is hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. Every year, the ceremony is held at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. But due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it will be held virtually on September 20, 2020, this year. It will be broadcasted in the U.S. by ABC.

The announcement for the nominations in different categories is out. HBO’s Watchmen leads the nominee list with a total of 26 nominations. It is followed by Amazon comedy The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel with 20. The next on the list comes Netflix’s Ozark with 18 nominations. The Mandalorian, Stranger Things, The Crown,  Mrs. America, The Handmaid’s Tale, also scored big.
