With great reviews from season 1, ‘Euphoria’, an HBO drama series, will return for the second which got confirmed by the liking of season 1 with approx. 5.5 million views per episode. Series is an adaptation of Israeli series under the same name and developed by Sam Levinson who presented Zendaya as the lead role which caused a lot of popularity beforehand.
The series follows the theme of High School where students are shown to suffer from love, drugs, sex, which gave popularity among Gen-Z.
The cast for S2:
The lead role will be renewed for sure, Zendaya playing as Rue Bennett a recovering addict who was portrayed as a raw, unsentimental portrayal of youth culture, addiction, and trauma. We can expect Jules Vaughn played by Hunter Schafer, Lexi Howard played by Maude Apatow, Fezco played by Angus Cloud, Cal Jacob played by Eric Dane, Maddy Perez played by Alexa Demie, Nate Jacobs played by Jacob Elordi, Kate Hernandez played by Barbie Ferreria, Leise played by Nika King, Christopher played by Algee Smith, Rue’s younger sister Gia Bennett played by Strom Reid and Cassie Howard played by Sydney Sweeney to return.
Through the casting agent’s activity, we have concluded we might be seeing some new characters too.
What we can expect in the story:
With the cliffhanger in season 1 to be worked out, we expect in season 2 to show Nate’s sexuality, Cassie and McKay’s and Kat and Ethan’s relationship, Gia’s growing confrontation.
Filming for the second season will be starting from March 2020, for which according to HBO’s preview 2020, the show will be aired this year.
Keeping in mind, the filming isn’t started yet, we probably won’t be seeing the second season until 2020 end.
