Friends, also starring Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer, as twenty-somethings living in New York City, ended in the year 2004 after ten years, but it still remains one of the most popular TV shows in reruns.

After the coronavirus pandemic arrived and the world went on lockdown, the production for the special episode shut down on March 18, as did all the other shows and films shut down as well.

In addition to this, it was also revealed that the original cast of the show unanimously want the special episode to be filmed at the shows former stage, Stage 24, at the Warner Bros lot in Burbank.
