She also described how the show was cathartic and an introspection of her own life, tackling down the ill-effects of stardom. Be it her iconic portrayal of the character Rachel Green in the legendary sitcom, FRIENDS, or her not so famous divorce with the Hollywood actor, Brad Pitt, along with other rumors that were there.
Aniston has got the spotlight on her for more than nearly two decades, and the time duration is still counting. How FRIENDS was a therapy session for Jennifer Aniston?
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, the actress stated that the twenty years of the how wrapped up into ten episodes was just like a therapy session. There were times in the life of the 51-year-old actress when she would read a scene and feel like a burden has been taken off from her back.
While explaining how playing the role of Alex was cathartic, Aniston shared that it was interesting for her to look back at the time when she used to normalize things and look normal. To show that everything is normal and great. She also noted that there were moments which she calls, Calgon, take me away moments, when she had her own private breakdown.
Jennifer Aniston confessed to the Los Angeles Times and recalling the second episode of the first season of The Morning Show, when Levy had a major meltdown, that there also have been some moments that were not at that level of Hysteria. The moments like, “I don’t want to be seen,” “I don’t want to go here,” ” I don’t want to walk out on the carpet,” ” I don’t want to be looked at and judged,” and all of this was real.
However, now she turns back to the time when this was the part of her daily life, and she is like, ” Ooooooooh.”
Apart from this, it is a well-known fact that all the main actors of the TV show didn’t just succeed in playing their respective roles as friends, they also developed a life-long friendship with each other. All the six friends, namely Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Lisa Kudrow remain best of friends till date!
