Game Of Thrones Prequel: Casting For The TV Show Begins With These Actors

HBO has started working on the prequel of Game of Thrones. The network has reportedly begun casting for its very much anticipated series, House of the Dragon. The sources confirmed this update to EW.

This project is based on Fire & Blood by Gorge R.R. Martin. A history of the Housse Targaryen which is set 300 years before the events in Game of Thrones.

The showrunner is Ryan Condal along with the veteran Miguel Sapochnik, the one who helmed the episodes such as The Winds of Winter and The Battle of Bastards.

Sapochnik will also be directing the pilot and additional episodes. It has been committed by HBO that there will be ten episodes of the series. Official casting breakdowns are not made available yet, but many have speculations that the potential lead characters may be based on Martin’s book.

It covers 150 years and includes the rise as well as the fall of many leaders in the Westeros, so it is not clear which time and characters will be focussed in the series.

Game of Thrones prequel plot details

The EW was told by the sources that the famed Dance of Dragons, The Targaryen Civil War that occasionally referenced in Game of Thrones. It ripped apart Westeros, and it will be tackled at some point of time in the series.

What makes sense, is if the first season led up to those events. All the fans have suggested that the show could also be an American-horror story anthology series which covers a vastly different time period in every season.
