Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 worldwide, a lot of delays occurred in the airing of many movies and series. The Given movie is no exception in it. As a result of the pandemic, the anime is delayed to release in the spring.

The Given original film was announced on September 19, 2019. The planned release date of the movie was May 16, 2020. However, due to the worldwide pandemic, the movie will release on August 22, 2020.
