Great Pretender is now turning into the best anime of this season. The anime steps into risky waters by presenting a story that revolves around con artists. But, still, continues to impress us with its well-written plot. The anime’s entire runtime is divided into several clever heists, all of which are pulled off by the same crew. Some of these heists turn out to be too predictable. But, others just blow you away with their revelations.
The anime has aired a total of 19 episodes till now. And each episode makes sure to take you on an adventurous journey. The feel-good themes and situational comedy makes it even better. The series tries to cover many genres together and still manages to be among the best in everyone. And so far, the series has successfully managed to keep its audience hooked up.

Recapturing Great Pretender Episode 19
Ozaki continues his story about Laurent. Following Dorothy’s stabbing, Laurent fled and was picked up by Si-Won who took him to see Dorothy, who had survived and revealed that it was part of their scam. She revealed that she, Dorothy, and Ozaki were con artists and Hugo was their target.
Laurent was offered a place in the team because of his gambling and multilingual skills, and together they carried out successful confidence scams in places like Sao Paulo, Milan, and Sydney. Laurent fell in love with Dorothy and took her to Finland to see the northern lights where they became engaged.
The gang decides to disband after one last confidence trick, targeting the human trafficking organization Shanghai Longhu-bang run by Liu Xiao. Laurent won the Liu’s trust by beating him in mahjong and he was hired to be Liu’s interpreter. Laurent introduced Liu to Si-Won, who told him about a valuable princess of the former Ethiopian Empire that fled the civil unrest and was now living in Kyoto as a college student, who was played by Dorothy.
