They think she is a threat and so they treat her with caution and disdain. However, she tries to pretend that everything is fine, and receiving such type of behavior does not affect her.
One time, she decides to take a trip into town where she loses her cool. She tears apart by how everyone is treating her. At that time, a knight named Harij Azm stands up for her and protects her. She falls in love with the knight. Then eventually, both of then part their ways. Out of the blue after four years, Harji shows up at her home – asking for a love potion!
The book tells us a lot about how things change. That is in earlier times, witches used to make medicine and treat humans. But now, they are replaced by doctors. What we often forget that witches were also humans, but with some magical powers. They had a deep sense of potions and stuff. They were some kind of deity or demon that humans labeled them to be.
This novel is worth reading. The author beautifully unfolds and expresses the relationship. In the beginning, it is a bit slow going, but the ending is worth the wait.
