J.K. Rowling, who is the main star behind the Harry Potter series, is now in the controversy for her tweet. People are hurt because of her tweet, and many people from the fans are labeled her as transphobic.

Let’s catch up here, what she has done and why Daniel comes forward and apologizes to the fans of the Harry Potter series.

It all started at the end of the last year with a tweet.

A girl called Maya Forstater got fired from her job in a British country because she tweeted something controversial. She has tweeted about her review of not believing people could change their biological sex in life. Let me also add that she was the researcher at the Centre for Global Development, and she fired after the tweet of her.

On December 19, 2019, Rowling tweeted in support of her saying that, “Dress however you please. Call yourself whatever you like. Sleep with any consenting adult who’ll have you. Live your best life in peace and security. But force women out of their jobs for stating that sex is real?”

This is not over yet, J.K. Rowling is still on

After this, she again spoke and shared an article about something controversial. She shared her thoughts on the people who are transgender and tweeted that, “‘People who menstruate.’ I’m sure they’re used to be a word for those people. Someone help me out. Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud?”

She also shared the article of Devex in support of her.

After that, many people and also some fans of Rowling roasted her in tweeter saying, that why are you doing this and why are you saying so negative!

This is the example of people who hatted this tweet.

But this is not over, yet she tweeted on this again and again and shared her thoughts. She believed that she is sharing her thoughts, and she has the rights to share it, but she didn’t even think that many of her fans are also getting hurt by this.

How Daniel Radcliffe get into this?

Well, Radcliffe said responded to the Rowling’s tweet that, “Transgender women are women. Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associations who have far more expertise on this subject matter than either Jo or I,”

He further said that 78% of transgender people reported that they had been the subject of discrimination due to their gender identity. and added in support of them that, “We need to do more to support transgender and nonbinary people, not invalidate their identities, and not cause further harm.”

Daniel said sorry to the fans of Harry Potter.

“To all the people who now feel that their experience of the books has been tarnished or diminished, I am deeply sorry for the pain these comments have caused you. I hope that you don’t entirely lose what was valuable in these stories to you.” Daniel said.
