Jimmy Kimmel Live: Barack Obama To Make An Appearance!

The former President of the United States, Barack Obama, is going to be Thursday’s guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live; the show was announced on Monday night. Barack Obama will be sitting down with Jimmy Kimmel to discuss A Promised Land, his new memoir.

A Promised Land is the first of the two books about his presidency. Obama has interviewed with Oprah Winfrey of 60 Minutes and Gayle King of CBS News recently to promote the book.

After becoming the very first sitting President of the United States to make an appearance on a late-night show in the year 2009 with his interview with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show, Barack has become a regular on the format.

He has previously been a guest on The Colbert Report, Late Night With Conan O’ Brien, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and The Late Show with David Letterman. Obama detailed that he wrote his book to inspire young people to continue to believe in democracy in a recently published article for The Atlantic.

He wrote that what he can say for certain is that he is not yet ready to abandon the possibility of America not just for the sake of the future generations of Americans but for all of humankind. 

In addition to this, he wrote that he is convinced that the pandemic that they are currently living through is really both a manifestation of and a mere interruption in the relentless march toward an interconnected world, a world in which peoples and cultures can not help but collide.

He also released a playlist on Monday to mark the release of his book featuring memorable songs from his time in office.

We would like to tell you that the playlist includes Halo by Beyonce, Cherish the Day by Sade, Michelle by The Beatles, Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours by Stevie Wonder, The Thrill Is Gone by B.B. King, and Luck Be A Lady by Frank Sinatra.
