American Idol is all set to host live sessions for its upcoming season amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Katy Perry, pop star, and the series judge is revealing whether she would return to the beloved music competition or not. Perry is expecting her first child with her fiance Orlando Bloom, so she is all in if the Idol will have her. Katy Perry revealed her outlook for Season 4 during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show on July 21 as per Cheat Sheet.
She admitted that while there are a lot of factors that are involved when getting her to say yes to the show, and it’s all about what the show calls for at the end of the day. Perry told Stern that she would love to say yes for the show as long as they will have her. She added that as long as she is still having fun there and as long as the whole thing still means something.
Is Katy Perry a part of American Idol Season 4?
In candid conversation happening elsewhere, Perry was asked by Stern if she felt guilty somewhere in her mind for making more than $25 million with her contract. In reply to this, Perry asked why? and later shared how Simon Cowell, judge, did very well on the show and was proved to be a valuable asset. He was also appreciated by the producers as well as the fans for the draw. Also, she said that it is exciting for a woman to be at this position as well as in this financial bracket.
Along with Katy Perry, fellow judges like Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan have not been confirmed to be returning for American Idol yet. However, they are expected to make a return along with Ryan Seacrest, the host for the 2021 season.
