American singer, actress, author, television personality Kelly Clarkson shed light on her “dumpster fire” and an “emotional roller coaster” 2020. She gets divorce from Brandon Blackstock, which she claims made her stronger by teaching her an important life lesson about personal growth.
After the divorce, she talked about her life, “I’m grateful in 2020 for the lesson I learned about- myself“.
She talks about the lesson that her mother, Jeanne, taught her, “You are who you surround yourself with“. To the viewers of the talk show, Kelly asks, “You want to make sure you’re surrounded by people that also want to be the best versions of themselves and also want a good common goal for everyone, not just themselves, right?”
Being generous, she says that people have a different learning curve. They might be bad for you, but that doesn’t mean they are wrong.
The 2013 married ex-couple shares six year old daughter River Rose and four years old son Remington Alexander.
Kelly gave a reason not to be open about the breakup to protect the kids. “I’m a mama bear and my kids come first.”
In her premiering episode of “Breakaway,” she said that she didn’t see the divorce coming and describes the splitting up as the worst thing. Whereas she claims that, “2020 has brought a lot of change also to my personal life”. By moving on, she says that they are on different paths now.
As this wasn’t enough, after splitting up, Brandon’s father, Narvel Blackstock, sued her for the unpaid commission. As the most prominent supporter throughout her career, he alleged to Kelly that she owes $1.4 million to Starstruck Management Group.
With this hardship, she is trying to get back on track and get “Stronger.”
