Laxmmi Bomb is an upcoming 2020 Indian comedy horror film, which is written and directed by Raghava Lawrence. It is a recast of the Tamil movie, Kanchana, in which Raghava was starred in the lead role.

The movie is being produced by Akshay Kumar, Shabina Khan, and Tusshar Kapoor under the banner of Cape of Good Films, Tushar Entertainment House, and Shabinaa Entertainment.

Raghava Lawrence, who played a lead role in the hit film ‘Kanchana’ and directed ‘Kanchana 2’, will now address the ‘Laxmmi Bomb.’ It is the first movie of Akshay collaborating with actor-director Raghava Lawrence.

Plot of the Movie

The movie is an official makeover of the South Indian film ‘Kanchana.’ The movie is full of horror, comedy as well as drama. In this movie, fans will see Akshay Kumar in a never-seen-before role, and he is going to play the role of a transgender ghost.

The story revolves around a person, who is afraid of supernatural things, but his body gets owned by a spirit.

Release Date of Laxmmi Bomb

The movie was planned to be released on May 22, 2020, but was postponed because of the COVID-19 crises.

On June 29, 2020, Disney Plus Hotstar conducted a virtual press conference, where Akshay Kumar announced that the movie would release on Disney plus Hotstar. As part of the Disney Plus Hotstar Multiplex initiative, which was a result of the theatre shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
