The show is about a group of players who live in isolation in a villa. The players are known as Islanders, and they have to be in a couple with another Islander to survive. They can be together for anything like Love, Friendship, or Money. And yes they come together for money, because the winning amount is $54,584.

They first come together by impressions, but after that, they have to swap or change their partner. The one who remains with no partner, is eliminated and dumped from the island. They can also be removed by public voting: less vote, more chances for elimination.

There are two Villas:-

  1. Summer Villa-  Sant Llorenc des Cardassar in Mallorca. This Villa is used for summertime. There are total 50+ cameras in the Villa which can record every place. Hideaway bedroom is also there, where a couple used to spend the night away from all the Islanders as a reward.
  2. Winter Villa- This Villa was introduced in the 6th series, and is located in South Africa.
