Lucifer Season 5 Part 2: Release Date!

The fifth season’s second part’s official release date is not announced yet. We first expected it to land on Netflix in early 2021. However, as the filming is done, we can expect it to be a Christmas treat!

However, Joe Henderson, the series’ showrunner said:

“I mean, it’s finished SHOOTING. We still have plenty to do before it’s ready for Netflix! (I don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up about timeline)”

Also, Joe Henderson ruled out the December release in his below recent tweet:

Lucifer Season 5: What will happen now?

In the fourth season’s cliff-hanger finale, the devil himself abandoned his life on Earth to keep the demonic forces at bay. Tom Ellis plays the devil in the series. Now Lucifer is back in hell and has gained back his control. This has left his true love, Chloe Decker (Lauren German) vulnerable to the schemes of his twin brother Michael.

The series’ official twitter account recently shared an image from season 5. The image teased Amenadiel’s (DB Woodside) journey to Hell. He might have gone either to rescue or simply chat with his brother about Michael’s dastardly deeds.

The Massive DC Crossover!

The angelic Amenadiel looks pretty spooked out and uncomfortable in the Circus of Hell. This is what sparked the DC Crossover theory. The creepy clown motif used in the Circus of Hell is pretty familiar. It looks very similar to the funhouse lairs frequently used by Batman’s nemesis, the Joker.

Through comic books and various animated series, Joker uses the abandoned funfairs as his own playground. He leverages Gotham’s Amusement Mile to spring traps on the Dark Knight a.k.a The Batman. This theme also appeared I DC’s latest installment, Birds of Prey starring Margot Robbie as the Joker’s ex, Harley Quinn.

It is less likely that Joker himself will appear in the series. This small connection could play a part in some other massive DC crossover.

We will bring more insights very soon. Until then, stay tuned and keep reading for all the latest updates!
