A new two-part original video anime for the My Hero Academia franchise is just around the corner. It is titled “Boku no Hero Academia: Ikinokore! Kesshi no Survival Kunren”. Funimation announced that it will stream the new video anime on the same day it comes out in Japan.
My Hero Academia 2-Part Video Anime: Release Date
The anime will land in Japan on August 16. Funimation will air the anime’s English dubbed version on August 16. Additionally, the anime will also be available on Hulu and other services simultaneously “worldwide.”
Funimation is also planning a “watch-along” event on the day of the OVA’s release. It is not finalized yet.
Hulu will exclusively stream the anime in Japan on August 16. Other streaming platforms like Anime Store, U-NEXT, dTV, Anime Hodai, Hikari TV, J:COM on Demand, TELASA, and milplus will stream it from August 30.
Hulu will also stream the two original anime that also bundled with the manga’s 13th and 14th volumes.
Funimation said that the anime is set during Season 3 of the series. It is right before the student heroes take their Provisional Hero License Exams.
A whole new adventure awaits ahead for the students. Some Class 1-A students are sent to hone their survival skills at a training course. They have not yet received their provisional licenses. The students are excited to cut loose and have some fun.

They soon come across danger and this is not a simulation. It is going to take their combined skills, teamwork, and quick thinking to defeat it. Everyone is on their toes to pass the new assignment.
Kōhei Horikoshi launched the manga series in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in July 2014. Viz media features the manga’s English version digitally and in print in North America.
