BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense anime is all set to land on Netflix next month. It is Yuumikan’s Itai no wa Iya nano de Bōgyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu’s television anime. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming anime.
BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense- Synopsis
The story revolves around a girl named Kaede. She doesn’t want to get any danger so she refuses to play MMO game along with her friends. Her friends insist on her so she reluctantly agrees. Eventually, she develops her ultimate defense which gives her an upper edge and unlikely skills.
In the original novel, the story revolves around Kaede Honjō. Her friend Risa Shiramine invites her to play a virtual reality MMO game with her. Kaede doesn’t usually dislike games. She dislikes being in pain. She decides to play the game when her friend insists on her.
Kaede develops a character named Maple. She decides to play defensive and to put all her points in VIT to minimize pain. As a result of this, she moves very slowly. Also, she cannot use magic and even a rabbit can get the best of her.
Eventually, she acquires a skill known as “Absolute Defence”. This skill enables her to pump more points into VIT. She gets a “Counter Skill” which can work against special moves and defend her. Now, that she can defend herself against all attacks, she embarks on an adventure.
The anime is all set to land on Netflix India on September 1, 2020. The anime first launched in Japan on January 8. Funimation airs the series on its website. It also features anime’s English dubbed version.
Shin Oonuma and Mirai Minato directed the series at SILVER LINK. Fumihiko Shimo is the series composer. Kazuya Hirata is the character designer and also the chief animation director.
