Well, now is the time to start getting in the festive spirit, as the online streaming service providing platform, Netflix, has released the first look of their film, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey. This holiday musical journey will be following a harmonious town, Cobbleton, lit up with magical toy making.

When a prized creation is stolen from the most famous toymaker of the town, a young girl must reclaim it and heal the old wounds. The story of the movie follows Madalen Mills, who has played the role of Journey, the adventurous granddaughter of the beloved toymaker, Jeronicus Jangle, whose character is played by Forest Whitaker.

The pair produce and sell whimsical toys together until things begin to go wrong. Christmas is endangered when the trusted apprentice of Jeronicus, whose role is played by Keegan-Michael Key, steals one of the most prized possessions of his.

With the help of a bit of magic, and a long-forgotten invention, it is all up to Journey to save the day. She is dedicated to upholding the legacy of her generation, which is a fitting theme for this holiday family film. Jingle Jangle, along with some of the spectacular visuals, promises a blast of the wintery musical delight.

It is written and directed by the very talented David E. Talbert, who has also written and directed the holiday hit, Almost Christmas. It features original songs by Davy Nathan, Philip Lawrence, and John Legend, who has also worked as a producer on the movie. The movie also stars Phylicia Rashad, Anika Noni-Rose, and Hugh Bonneville.

David E. Talbert revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that for him as a father of a little Black boy and an uncle to a little Black girl it is very important for him to put images of magic and wonder that are universal out in the universe. He added and said, because if we never see it, then how do we ever know we can be it.
