New Higurashi: When They Cry anime is all set to land this October. Ani-One YouTube channel announced on Saturday that it will stream the new anime.
Ani-One is a Hong Kong content distributor MediaLink Entertainment Limited’s platform. The anime is titled ‘Higurashi no Naku Koro ni’ in Japanese. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming anime!

The Ani-One YouTube channel will stream the episode every week close to the Japanese telecast. The anime will stream on October 1 at 9:00 p.m. IST.
The anime will premiere on October 1 in Japan. It was earlier scheduled to premiere in July. The coronavirus pandemic delayed the anime’s premiere. Tokyo MX and also BS11 will feature the anime in Japan. Additionally, the anime’s fourteenth episode will premiere on January 7.
Akio Watanabe is the character’s designer. Additionally, Passione is the project’s main animator. Infinite is producing the anime series along with Naoki Hayashi is the series composer.

Tomato Akase will also adapt the new anime into a manga. The anime’s first installment aired for 26 episodes in 2006. The series’ second installment aired for 24 episodes in 2007. It was titled When They Cry II: Solutions (Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Kai). Geneon Entertainment Inc. launched the anime’s first DVD in 2007-2008.
Funimation later featured the DVD in 2009 and 2010. Additionally, Sentai Filmworks most recently launched the anime in Blu-ray Disc and DVD quality in 2016.
The anime’s story revolves around strange and mysterious murders. These murders coincide with an annual festival in a quiet rural village.
MangaGamer released the novel’s original visual in 2009 and it’s releasing the anime as 14 individual chapters. The anime has also inspired two live-action films and several video anime projects. Additionally, many artists have developed it into manga.
