Over The Moon Is Landing On Netflix This Year. Here’s What We Found Out.

Netflix continues to rock the world of animation with original feature films. It has revealed the 1st details and debut trailer for their forthcoming animated musical Over The Moon. And it looks like this one is going to be another animated masterpiece by Netflix.

Over The Moon is an upcoming 2020 computer-animated adventure musical comedy film directed by Glen Keane and co-directed by John Kahrs. Also, Pearl Studio has produced the film with animation by Sony Pictures.

Glen Keane, you know his work at Walt Disney Animation, he brought to life characters including Ariel (“The Little Mermaid”), the Beast (“Beauty And The Beast”), and the little figures of “Aladdin” and “Tarzan.”

Keane previously directed the Oscar-winning short film, “Dear Basketball,” in part with Kobe Bryant and composer John Williams. “Over The Moon” is the 1st full length animated movie by him.

The upcoming animated film just released its stunning trailer, which looks to be inspired by Chinese art and mythology.

Plot Of The Movie:

This film notify the story of a smart young girl named Fei Fei who’s been searching for maternal presence since her mom’s death. Using her determination and passion for science, she builds a rocketship to the moon to prove the existence of the ancient Moon Goddess (Chang’e) about whom her mother has told her stories.

During that, she ends up on a completely unexpected quest and goes on to discover a whimsical land containing fantastical creatures.

Moreover, Over The Moon described as “an exciting musical adventure about moving forward, embracing the unexpected, and the power of imagination.”

This journey that Fei Fei takes to meet the Moon Goddess is really about her healing and also about the goddess healing. They both unlock each other’s hearts.

The movie will be releasing on Netflix in late 2020.
