Perfect World manga’s 12th volume will the last in the series. The manga’s 11th compiled book revealed the news on Wednesday. Rie Aruga is the manga’s main writer. She revealed in April 2019 that her manga is heading towards the end. Here everything you need to know about the manga.

Perfect World Manga: Storyline

The main story revolves around a 26-year-old girl Tsugumi Kawana. Tsugumi is a very nice girl and she lives her life very happily. One day, she reunites with her first crush from high school, Itsuki Ayukawa. They met at a get-together between an architecture firm and the interior design company she works at.

She always liked his but never gathered the courage to reveal her feeling for her. Now, after all these years, those feelings came back running to her. She gets nervous around and him and wonders whether he remembers her or not.

Eventually, she realizes that Itsuki is now disabled. She sees that he is in a wheelchair and cannot walk. She suddenly feels that she cannot date a guy in a wheelchair and try to forget about him. But, she always loved him truly and her feelings begin to change.

Manga’s Success

Kiss magazine premiered the manga in February 2015. The manga becomes very famous and gathered a huge fan base. It was nominated in April 2019 for Kodansha’s 43rd annual Manga Awards.

The manga inspired a live-action film that opened in Japan in October 2018. The film performed exceptionally well. It got a box-office collection of 17,380,800 yen (about US$153,800) in its opening weekend. It also grabbed the rank #4 at that time.

It also inspired a live-action series that aired on Fuji TV and Kansai TV in April 2019. Kodansha Comics launches the manga both digitally and physically in English.
