Pokemon Journeys: The Series has released a brand new opening theme sequence. The sequence shows us that either Ash Ketchum or Goh would be adding an Aerodactyl to their team. The series’ episode 32 recently launched in Japan with a remixed opening.
Pokemon Journeys: What’s new?
The fans love the series’ opening theme song. Keeping this in mind, the creators did not change the opening theme completely. It is just a new version of the first opening theme, “1.2.3.” Takanori Nishikawa and Golden Bomber’s Sho “Kirisho” Kiryuin perform the new version.
Nishikawa also performs under the pseudonym of the T.M. Revolution. Earlier, After The Rain performed the opening theme song. Additionally, a new sequence came with this remixed theme.
The new opening has revealed much new information. It features the Galar region which means they are set to make their debut very soon. Also, we saw some major changes to Ash Ketchum and Goh’s Pokemon teams. One scene showed the duo battling with their two line-ups. In this fight, there is one Pokemon that stands out.
So, who will get Aerodactyl?
Pikachu launches a powerful Thunderbolt and surprisingly Aerodactyl is flying around it. For all we know, this could be Ash’s Aerodactyl training with Pikachu. However, it is highly likely that it belongs to Goh. This means that the famous Fossil Pokemon will join Goh’s team in a future episode.
Aerodactyl is not part of either Goh or Ash’s Pokemon teams at the end of the opening. This baffled us the most. So, what does this mean? Is this another tease? Or is Aerodactyl coming for real? The next few episodes will reveal what lies in the store for us.
Pokemon Journeys: The Series is on its strongest run ever after the COVID lockdown and are getting all-time high hits. The newest episode ended an electrifying reunion that brought fans back to the first episodes of the series.
