Poupelle Of Chimney Town: Release Date, Cast, and Crew
The movie’s trailer revealed that the film is all set to land on December 25, 2020. Akihiro Nishino has directed the film. HYDE has made the movie’s opening theme song, “Halloween Party”. Additionally, Lozareena has created the film’s ending song.
Actor Masataka Kubota will portray the film’s main character, Poupelle. Live-action Tokyo Ghoul, Death Note television series are his well-known works. Actress Mana Ashida will be seen as Lubicchi. Additionally, Comic rakugo performer Tatekawa Shinosuke is playing Lubicchi’s father Bruno. Eiko Koike is set to play Lubicchi’s mother Lola.
In the previous listings, Nishino was the film’s director but right now, Yusuke Hirota is listed as the director. Nishino is still the film’s production supervisor, original creator, and writer. We are not sure what made this to change. There are no official statements regarding this. Atsuko Fukushima is designing the anime film’s characters.
Aeon Entertainment and Yoshimoto Kōgyō Co., Ltd. is producing the film. TOHO and Yoshimoto Kōgyō Co., Ltd. are the film’s distributors.
The movie is based on the book of the same name. The film is going to be unique in its own ways and will show new elements and characters. These elements and characters are exclusive to the film and did not appear in the movie. Nishino said even if you have read the book, you will enjoy the film as it’s not entirely the same.
The story is about a town that is surrounded by a wall that stands 4,000 meters (about 2.5 miles) tall. The town was full of chimneys and so, there was a lot of smoke coming out of it. No one in the town how the sky actually looked like. They had always seen it grey. No one ever saw the stars and lighting.
The town was amidst the Halloween festival and it was even smokier than usual. On this night, a deliveryman dashing across the night sky choked on the smoke. He carelessly dropped a heart he was delivering. He did not find it as nothing was clearly visible in the smoke. Now, the beats in one corner of the chimney town on a Halloween night!
The book has sold 420,000 copies so far and has received great reviews. It has received 4.2/5 ratings on Goodreads.
