The online streaming platform, Netflix is going to revive a classic character, and Sarah Paulson will be reuniting with Ryan Murphy outside of American Horror Story. The series will come out on Netflix with the full involvement of Ryan Murphy, who has undergone an overall output deal with the streaming platform. He is the prolific producer who is behind some of the biggest hits on Netflix. The series was picked by Netflix back in the year 2017 in September after undergoing a massive bidding war over the title. The battle was with Hulu, and there were reports that Apple also wanted to have the rights of the show. Although technically, it is not the part of the expansive output deal of Murphy.

What is Ratched all about | Series Details

The series revolves around the character of Nurse Ratchet, who is a character from the 1962 classic novel named, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. It is also based on the 1975 movie of the same name that was released after thirteen years of the release of the novel. Also, the character has also made an appearance in the ABC‘s show, Once Upon A Time.

The series is all set to be the origin story of the character Nurse Ratched. This will be taking us back in the time when Rached was not evolved to the monster. The time before, she started exploiting people in the mental health care system.

Fox 21 Television Studios is the one behind the series, and given that it is owned by Disney now, it may come as a surprise.
