Resident Evil is known in Japan as Biohazard. It is a Japanese horror media franchise created by Shinji Mikami and Tokuro Fujiwara. And, owned by the video game company Capcom. The franchise focuses on a series of video games and includes live-action films, animated films, comic books, novels, audio dramas, and merchandise.
And, the main storyline of the games primarily concerns a group of individuals who battle against the Umbrella Corporation as well as characters in relation to them. People who have developed the T-virus which, among other things, can transform humans into zombies as well as mutate other creatures into horrifying monsters.
Since the first game was released in 1996 on Sony PlayStation, the Resident Evil series is nearing its 25th anniversary. With the series continuing to evolve even now, a new title carves itself into the series’ history. So to anyone and everyone, who’s been following the series, we have a piece of good news for you.

Netflix Announces The Original Anime Series ‘RESIDENT EVIL: Infinite Darkness‘ Coming In 2021. We don’t have the exact date yet. But, as always, as soon as anything related to this article is out, you’ll be the first one to know 😉
Netflix also revealed major story details and key art for the upcoming project. And, according to the sources it was later clarified and confirmed that 2021’s Infinite Darkness is an anime series and not a movie. And, the story taking place three years after 2017’s Resident Evil: Vendetta CG movie and starring Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield.

About Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness
The series will be produced and supervised by Capcom’s Hiroyuki Kobayashi, a longtime producer on the series. And, he’s also the producer of three computer-animated films: Resident Evil: Degeneration, Damnation, and Vendetta. TMS Entertainment will produce the series, while Quebico will be in charge of the 3D CG animation production.
