Rick and Morty Season 5 has kept the fans waiting for a very long time. The series’ last season aired in March 2019. Creator Dan Harmon announced during the fourth season that he was already working on the fifth.

Rick And Morty Season 5: Trailer!
Well, the franchise has released a video clip, but we cannot exactly call it a trailer. Adult Swim has shared the upcoming season’s early draft.

The showrunners also shared the fifth season’s storyline at a recent [email protected] panel.
From the draft, we can see that Morty carries an injured Rick to their ship as they escape out of a portal. However, there is severely damaged and can blast anytime. The duo is sent hurtling towards their deaths over Earth.
Morty decides to call her to crush Jessica and express his feelings to her. Surprisingly, she reciprocates and Morty decides that does not want to die. So he manages to save them by crashing into the sea.
When their vessel land in the sea, an Aquaman-type character called Mr. Nimbus greets them. He actually is Rick’s nemesis.
The fifth season’s release date is not released yet but it is certainly under production as we speak. Series’ creator Dan Harmon revealed last month all the producers and writers are diligently working on the upcoming series.
He also said that they were preparing even in the lockdown and have some new exciting stuff coming up. The work through many two-hours zoom marathon.
The series’ third and fourth season has a huge gap between their releases. The gap was of about around two and a half years and this pissed off the fans.
Harmon and Justin Roiland said that they won’t do the same mistake and will release the fifth season on time. Unfortunately, this time, the coronavirus pandemic is the culprit and the release might take some more time than anticipated.
Roiland also announced in May that he has some new plans for the season and will change things a little. He said that he would be keen to release the show’s one episode per month instead of the usual roll-out.
Every core actor is set to reprise their role in the upcoming season. Co-creator Justin Roiland will play both Rick and Morty. Additionally, Sarah Chalke will play Beth, Spencer Grammer will return as Summer, and Chris Parnell will once again be Jerry.
